Breaking News from Cadishead Primary School Football Team…….

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amazing sports news from our football team…… Last week our year 5/6 football team- Kai, Dylan, Alex, Sam, Louie, Sam, Sonnie and Alex travelled down to The Emirates stadium and took part in a national football competition. The boys had already won the North West tournament and were representing Manchester United in the national finals. I can’t tell you how proud we all are of the boys and what a tremendous amount they have achieved- they are an absolute credit to us. Mr Hargreaves and Mr Metcalf were delighted with how well the boys represented our school.  Check out our football page for more photos of our champions!

 

Last Friday 2nd March our Year 5 and 6 boys football team won, yes won a competition set up by Manchester United.  They are now champions of the North West and will be travelling down South in the middle of May to compete against other regional teams at the Arsenal Emirates stadium.  Well done boys, we are really proud of you!   

 

 

PE News 2010/ 2011 Autumn

We have a range of sport coaches coming into school this term. Mrs Gartside, Mr Metcalfe and Mr Hargreaves are very excited, Man City are teaching in Year 1, lucky things!

 

 Man United will continue to support Year 4 and 6. Mrs Green and Mrs Heggs are happy.

Salford City Reds are helping Yr 5 children to develop their rugby skills. Remember they are re locating to Barton their first match is on Tuesday 24 January (8pm). Go and support your local team.

Lancashire Cricket club are also coming in to teach Key Stage 2. Did you know that Lancashire are the county champions? Have fun children.
