WELCOME BACK TO OUR CLASS PAGE- WE ARE THE ‘SUPER STARFISH’

Our teacher is Miss McIntyre, and our TA is Mrs Cross.

This half term we are learning all about the things we need to do to stay healthy.

We have started brushing our teeth at lunchtimes; we have been finding out about exercise in our PE lessons, and in our Gym role-play; we are also finding out about healthy food; and we will be finding out how staying clean helps us to be healthy.

We are also looking forward to finding out about Chinese New Year celebrations, and we have already tried Spring Rolls for snack – yum!

In PSRN (maths), we are trying hard to count objects carefully, by touching each one, and we are playing lots of games to help us recognise numerals.

In CLLD (literacy), we have been practising ‘talking partners’, where we have to listen to our friend speak, then repeat what they have said. Some of us are brilliant  speakers, and some of us are excellent listeners- hopefully with practice we will be good at both!

We have also started a new oral story – ‘The Enormous Turnip’. there is a photo of it below, if you would like to have a go at home…

BREAKING NEWS…you will be pleased to hear that all the children now have a smiley starfish next to their names on our ‘I CAN…’ board, as they can all put their coats on independently!

Next up- putting on, and taking off their own shoes. Maybe you could help them with this at home?

Dates for your diary- VALENTINE’S DISCO, Wednesday 15th February.

PARENT CONFERENCES, week beginning 19th March.

Coming soon… Stay And Play sesssions. Watch out for your invitation…

Next term our topic will be ‘STORIES’. We would love to find out which stories are your child’s favourites.
