Year 5 and 6 step back in time

 

As part of our learning about Britain since 1948 the children had a Retro Day! The children had great fun dressing up in clothes from their favourite decade and in the afternoon had a boogie to songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The children danced to hits by artisits and bands such as Cliff Richard, Status Quo, The Byrds, The Beatles, Queen, Thin Lizzy, The Smiths, Tho Who, Take That, Manfred Mann, The Specials and even Chesney Hawkes to name but a few! 

As it was Children in Need day all money went to the charity, including the large amount the children spent on 10p bags of sweets (penny chews, space raiders, chocolate mice all included!).
